About Imaginary Attic
Quiet and solitude are necessary companions of the pen. But as a new graduate working out of a studio apartment, finding a dedicated writing space was a challenge. In lieu of physical square footage, Imaginary Attic evolved as a figurative headspace carved out in dedication of all things literary — a place to store, nurture, and compose an eclectic range of work.
In the years since beginning my career, I’ve had the opportunity to write for a range of businesses and publications. But, whether drafting from a cubicle, a corner office, or a coffee house, Imaginary Attic continues to serve as the framework that allows me to "paint the blank page" and bring ideas to life.
What began as a way to visualize my creative foundations, has gradually transformed into a structured writing philosophy: three walls and a window.
About the author
K. B. Leland is a writer, educator, and "content expert" with an admittedly whimsical yet unwavering belief in the power of story. She has dedicated her career to the study of narrative arts: from picture books, poetry, short stories and novels, to marketing, advertising, and brand development.
As a curious observer and passionate collector of words, she is dedicated to distilling the beauty of reality while consistently aspiring for the imaginary. Her personal plotline is currently set in the deserts of Arizona where she lives with her husband, two young kids, and their monochrome cat.
